In writing we will begin our informational unit – sharing what we learn from research. We will kick this off with a connection to our work in science and research habitats, animals and their adaptations. In this process, we will apply what we have learned about text features and how they help us find information in nonfiction sources.

Please continue to have your child read 20 minutes a night and practice reading, and writing their sight words!

Our next unit in math is addition up to 200. We will focus on number patterns, place value and reasoning strategies. It is important that you are practicing math facts at home! This can be flash cards, Xtra Math on the computer or as simple as writing down facts for your student to work on.

We continue our work studying animal habitats and adaptations. We have begun digital research and creating Google slides to present to the class!

Social Studies
We will soon begin our studies in Geography and discover how people interact with their environment.
